Ram Charan Rachcha Release Date

Mega Power Star Ram Charan's forthcoming movie Rachcha release date will be either March 29 or April 5 and the chances of releasing the movie on March 23 is ruled out. The shooting of Raccha is almost complete except for few songs. Sampath Nandi is directing the movie on Mega Super Good Movies banner and RB Chowdary is the presenter. Tamanna is romancing Charan in this racy mass entertainer. The story of Racha revolves around car races and Ram Charan Tej will be seen as a medico and his character name is Viswam. Mani Sharma is scoring music.

Meher Ramesh is like Brother: Hansika

Milky beauty Hansika Motwani is currently a busy bee as the actress has signed two big projects. Hansika is playing the female lead in Suriya starrer ‘Singam 2’ in Tamil and another Telugu movie featuring Manchu Vishnu in the lead. However, the busty actress is disappointed that she could not accommodate dates for Venkatesh starrer ‘Shadow’, directed by Meher Ramesh. The makers initially approached Hansika for sharing screen space besides Venkatesh in ‘Shadow’ but the actress backed out due to lack of dates. "I share excellent rapport with director Meher Ramesh and he’s like a brother to me. I wish I was part of the Shadow movie but just could not accommodate dates as I already committed for a Tamil film. Hopefully, I would work with him in the next film," said Hansika.

Genelia, Ritesh Spotted at CCL

Newly married couple Genelia and Ritesh were spotted at a CCL match in Vizag. And this is the couple’s first public appearance post their marriage, which took place in Mumbai few days ago. Genelia was seen cheering her husband ‘Go Ritesh Go’ and support the team Mumbai Heroes. It was also reported that the organizers are hosting a party for Genelia and Ritesh. “Yes, we will host a special party for the couple and ensure that their stay is comfortable,” said a source. Ritesh and Genelia are coming to cheer their team Mumbai Heroes, who will take on Bengal Tigers for a place in the semi-finals. And will Ritesh will be a crucial player for his team in the absence of Salman Khan (who is shooting in Cuba)? May be!

Samantha's big break

Samantha will join the shoot of auteur Manirathnam's new love story from February 11. She will be shooting for 10 days in this schedule and then will move on to her Telugu movies. Manirathnam has announced the film officially that introduces Karthik's son Gautham as hero. The film is titled Kadal in Tamil meaning 'Sea'. Probably, it would be titled in Telugu as Kadali.

Samantha said doing Manirathnam's movie is a dream come true. "Every actor in India nurtures dream of doing Mani sir's film. I am fortunate to get the chance so early in my career," she told the media recently after launching a Saree showroom in Hyderabad.

In Tollywood, Samantha is inching towards No.1 position as she has six films in her kitty this year.

YVS talks about Nippu

Actor Ravi Teja, director-producer YVS Chowdhary and director Gunasekhar were roommates during their struggling days in then Madras city. Decades later, they, each of them well established in their respective careers, have teamed up for Nippu which is ready for release. While Ravi Teja stars in the movie, Gunasekhar directs it and YVS Chwodhary restricts to the job of producer. YVS talks about the movie

Nippu was supposed to release on Sankranthi. Why the movie has been postponed thrice?

It is true that we wanted to come on Sankranthi festival but we could not complete the movie by then, so we shifted to Feb 2nd. Then producer of Jai Telangana approached Film Chamber of Commerce and requested to allot more theatres for their film that is releasing on Feb 4th. We didn't want them to suffer because of our movie for the lack of theaters, so we voluntarily postponed to Feb 17th. And there won't be any change in the release date. This is final.

Don't you think releasing a movie at the end of February bad idea, as people hardly come to theaters from the month of March due to exams, etc?

Shivarathri has been one of the great periods for Telugu film industry. Look at some of the biggest hits like ANR's Premabhishekam and Venkatesh's many blockbusters and movies from Supergoodmovies banner - all were released at the time of Sankranthi. Even the recent blockbuster Ye Maaya Chesavewas released on Feb 26 in 2010.

People expect entertaining movie from Ravi Teja than action but the title Nippu suggests it an intense action movie!

No, it is not action drama. Nippu is an out and out entertainer. In most of the movies Ravi Teja's character is like a carefree guy, we now thrust on him a responsibility too. So you find Ravi Teja brand of entertainment, Gunasekhar style of high technical values and interesting narration, and my kind of good music and glamour. One of the major highlights is Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam's comedy. Focus is more on entertainment.

The other highlights are characterization of Ravi Teja. He plays the role of Surya, a carefree guy who is on a mission. Deeksha Seth would get big break with this film as solo heroine. Rajendra Prasad has portrayed a role that represents his dignified image. 

Ravi Teja, Guna, Brahmi on sets of Nippu

Director Gunasekhar is known for making lavish movies that often exceed budget limits and taking plenty of time finishing a movie. How did you make him finish very fast and making a movie without huge sets. 

The perception that Gunaskehar extends the production schedule beyond limit is totally wrong. Regarding Nippu, the subject doesn't require to erect huge sets, though Gunasekhar is popular for making movies with large sets like Charminar set ( Okkadu) and Madhura Meenakshi Temple set (Arjun). But that doesn't mean, Nippu doesn't have high production values. Indeed Guna made the movie with good technical values and the movie would be eye-feast too.

As a director how do you rate the work of Gunashekar's Nippu?

I give more than 85 marks to Gunasekhar's work. It is one of his best works.
Is it true that Bhavana did a role in this movie?

Both Bhavana and Sriram have special appearances.

Are you happy with Taman's music?

100 percent. I feel proud that I have great sense of music since I had this great opportunity to work with legendary music directors like K V Mahadevan, Chakravarthy and Ilayaraja when I was assisting my guru K Raghavendra Rao. Later when I became a director I worked with M M Keeravani (my all time favourite music director), Sandeep Chowta, Manisharma, Ramana Gogula and Chakri. Though I am not director of this film, I am happy that Taman has given us good music for our banner that is known for giving musical hits. Today, all Fm channels are constantly playing our songs.

Will you be producing movies with other directors in future too?

Yes. I met with Krishnavamsi, Puri Jagannadh, and other directors who are close to me and they agreed to do movies for my banner.

When is your Rey releasing?

Mostly by this June, Rey would release.

Balakrishna film launched

Balakrishna will be romancing with two heroines in Ravi Kumar Chavali's new film. Parvathi Melton has already been confirmed as one of the heroines and now Isha Chawla (of Premakavali and Pularangadufame) steps in. This new untitled film was launched on Monday afternoon on auspicious muhurtham of 2pm. 

Dasari Narayana Rao sounded the clapboard while 'Rebel star' Krishnam Raju switched on the camera for the muhurtham shot filmed on Balakrishna, Parvathi Melton and Isha Chawla.

The film is produced by Ramesh Puppala on his Yellow Flowers Banner while R R Moviemakers presents the movie. Chakri who gave hit music for Balakrishna's Simha is scoring the music for this too.

Dhoni gets U; releases on Feb 10

Prakash Raj's directorial venture, Dhoni, made in Telugu and Tamil, is cleared by Censor Board. On Tuesday (February 07, 2012), the regional board members saw the film and gave it U certificate that allows all ages of audiences to watch the movie in theater.

Dhoni is a film about our educational system. Apart from producing and directing the movie, Prakash Raj also acts in as a middle-class father.

Puri Jagannadh's son Akash played the main role. Ilayaraja has given the mellifluous numbers for it.

Veteran singer S.Janaki suffers head injury

Veteran singer S. Janaki suffered a head injury after she slipped and fell down in a hotel where she was staying in at Tirupati on Tuesday morning (Feb 7, 2012).  (Feb 7, 2012). 

She was immediately rushed to the Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) Hospital for treatment and the doctors removed the blood clot. 
The doctors reportedly removed the blood clot and treated the wounded portion with five sutures.

Speaking to reporters at Hospital, her son Murali Krishna said his mother is recovering well. "She is now doing well and her condition is stable," he informed the media. 

S Janaki who resides in Chennai came down to the temple town to witness the marathon concert ‘Sri Annamacharya Sankirtana Yagnam’ performed by her nephew G. Balakrishna Prasad at Mahati auditorium here.

Deepika Padukone back in Rajnikanth's film

Deepika Padukone who was to play with Rajnikanth in his now defunct, Rana , is set to romance with the superstar again. Rajinikanth fell ill on the very first day of the shoot of Rana in April last year, and he took rest for 10 months. So Rana was called off. Meanwhile, his daughter Soundarya planned another film with Rajnikanth titled Kochadaiyaan and approached Deepika to play the female lead but Deepika refused to do so, citing the reason of non-availability of her dates.

The producers then approached Katrina Kaif for the same role for the film being made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It was said Katrina Kaif almost confirmed her dates. 

But in a sudden twist, Deepika made herself available for the film and adjusted her dates (as she walked out from a Bollywood film). The film's director Soundarya happily tweeted: "Deepika padukone confirmed to play appa's pair in Kochadaiyaan :) great to have you back with us.. big hug!"

The film is being touted as India's first performance capture photo realistic film.

Had memorable dinner with PM: Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan was one of the few celebrity guests attended a dinner party hosted by Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh on February 7 in New Delhi. The dinner party was arranged at Hyderabad House in New Delhi in honour of Prime Minister of the Republic of Mauritius, Dr Navinchandra Ramgoolam who is on six-day visit in India.

This is a great experience for the young actress. Later Shruthi tweeted: "Had such a memorable dinner at the Hyderabad House, Delhi. Met the Prime Minister of India and the delegates from Mauritius as well."
