Here is the news making round in the filmnagar circles. Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya has been approached by a Kollywood film director Kannan for stepping into the character of hero Imran Khan for the Telugu Delhi Belly remake.
There has been earlier buzz that Jayam Ravi’s might play the lead from Kollywood. And for Telugu version, Naga Chaitaya is being considered. Whilst there is another rumour that Naga Chaitanya might play the hero in both Telugu and Tamil versions.

We all know that most popular 'Munni Badnaam Hui’ song from Dabangg film was a huge hit and now for this item song in Gabbar Singh, the film makers have approached Bipasha Basu and she demanded Rs 1 Crore to do the item song. But the film makers are offering 50 lakhs, it seems she is not ready to do the item song for RS 50 Lakhs. In original version Malaika Arora did that song and in Tamil remake Mallika Sharawat played that item song.

Katrina to act with Rajinikanth!

Katrina Kaif, one of the top actresses in Bollywood, is all set to romance with south super star Rajinikanth in a Tamil film titled "Kochadaiyaan", which is being directed by Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya.
Soundarya also confirmed this news "by saying that we are indeed in talks with Katrina and we will let you know soon".

Siva Balaji booked for drunken driving

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police on Saturday night registered a case against 'Arya' fame actor Siva Balaji for driving in drunken condition.

The actor Siva Balaji was found driving in an inebriated condition during the routine checks at Vidya Bhavan crossroads near Film Nagar.

Police stopped the actor's Fiesta car which he was driving and conducted the breath-analyser test.

The police have registered a case under Section 185 of Motor Vehicles Act which might lead to cancellation of his driver's license besides imposition of a heavy fine. The police asked him to appear before a magistrate on Monday.

Nippu audio launch on Jan 14

Hyderabad: Ravi Teja starrer Nippu has also gone the Poolarangadu way. After opting out of the Sankranti race, now the unit is confined to audio release for Pongal.

Yes, the audio of Nippu will be released on January 14. The film is pushed to February 2 release. Technical snags are cited as some of the reasons for the delay in Nippu audio release.

Thaman scores music for the film in which Rajendra Prasad plays an important role. The film is directed by Gunashekar and produced by YVS Chowdary under Bommarillu banner.

Balakrishna announces political entry

Nandamuri Balakrishna has finally announced his entry to active politics. "Besides campaigning for the TDP, I will also contest the elections in 2014,” the actor said in Vijayawada on Saturday. Balakrishna was in Vijayawada to celebrate the success of his latest hit Sri Rama Rajyam. Though TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu planned to field Balakrishna in the 2009 elections, he changed his mind and used him as a star campaigner instead. "I have campaigned for the TDP in several elections. But this time, I will contest the elections too," Balakrishna told reporters.. Asked whether any other member of the NTR family would contest in the 2014 elections, Balakrishna said: “We are not forcing anyone.” To the question for which seat he would contest, the actor said, “I will contest any Assembly seat as directed by the party." However, sources said that that Balakrishna may opt for the Hindupur seat, once represented in the Assembly by his father NTR.

Business Man Music Review

Aamchi Mumbai: This is sung by Ranjit, Rahul and Naveen. The song has a mix of Hindi and Telugu lyrics and this is composed as a typical Mumbai tapori style song. The song has dominant Hindi lyrics and then moves to Telugu in the charanams. Music dominates this song and we hear few vocals at times. Despite that the song will appeal to youth as it has some foot tapping music. Please checkout some wonderful drums by Thaman in this song. Lyrics are sufficient and few lines like Romme Viristhe Jeena hai, Thoke mudusthe Marna hai are good and also reflect the mood of the hero.

Sir Osthara: The song is sung by Suchitra and Thaman. Suchitra off late is dominating the Telugu scene by singing the songs where raunchy voice is needed. She starts the song with few very typical words and sets the tone of the song. This number sure is a foot tapping number in the album. Bhaskarabhatla used his usual flavor for words to write this song. The words like –“ Kaa vatthe isthaara” signify his style. He mixed few Hindi words in the song seamlessly to ass to the tempo of the song. Thaman sang for the male voice of the song. The song demands the voice similar to Thaman’s but he could have found a singer to do the job rather than doing himself. His voice resembled his own in Mirapakaay and that’s the only drawback of this song. Otherwise he did a very good orchestrization and used different sounds to appeal to mass and class alike. I’m sure this song is going to dominate all FM channels in the coming days. This meanwhile is the only duet in the album.

Pilla Chao: The song is sung by Rahul Nambiar. The song is a fast beat style designed in a retro style. The song moves at the uniform tempo without much variation in the Pallavi and Charanam. Music is decent and doesn’t seem like what Thaman has composed earlier. There are few variations that he has shown in the pace of the song at moments and that’s really good. Lyrics are decent and help the song move forward. Success of this song would depend on the way the song is canned. Overall, a different song in the recent times. The best is the beats that come immediately after the initial saxophone bit. The variation Thaman showed in composed in various parts of the song is good.

Chandamama Navve: The song is sung by Haricharan. The song starts with a melodious beat and moves at a fast pace. The song is designed as hero’s effort to woo his girl The song has a mixture of modern and native lyrics. Music is good and helps the song maintain its tempo.

Bad Boyz; Another fast paced song sung by Priya Himesh and Geetha Madhuri .This is the item song and hence has good foot tapping music that could make people dance. Instruments are blended seamlessly. Though the song is done in lines of Ippatikinkaa in the content, the song will appeal to the masses and classes alike. Thaman didn’t loose tempo at any moment.

Businessman Theme: The theme song is sung by Mahesh Babu and Puri Jagannath. Mahesh babu did a voice over to this song with his few of his punches like Racchale and Puri did singing in parts. Music is pretty fast and it is almost like a song unlike other theme songs.

Businessman is a different album coming from Thaman who faced flak for his repetitive tunes and music dominating the vocals. He did an excellent job with this album and replied his critic. He used instruments to his advantage and didn’t allow them to clobber and create noise. The best part about the album is its high energy levels that never subsided at any point of time. Thaman scored good marks with this album. Bhaskarabhatla played his part well in writing few good lines. Chandamama and Sir will be remembered as one of his best numbers.

Overall this album is the one which can be rated as good in the first listening and I’m sure the song will catch up once the movie is released. My rating for the album would be 7 out of 10.

Comedian Vennela Kishore is making his directorial debut with ‘Vennela 1½’. ‘Adi Nuvve’ fame Chaitanya Krishna and Monal Gajjar are the hero and heroines. The movie has completed its shooting and currently post production work is going on. The makers are planning to release this movie in February.

The movie is a full length comedy entertainer and is a sequel to ‘Vennela’ movie. Brahmanandam, Raghu Babu, playing key roles in this film. Sunil Kashyap is composing music. Vasu and Verma are producing the film under GR8 Films banner.

Pawan, Raju Sunadram Movie Confirmed

Power star Pawan Kalyan’s next movie has been confirmed with choreographer Raju Sundaram. Teluguone.com earlier reported that Pawan Kalyan and Raju Sundaram are in talks to work for a movie and it’s now confirmed that both would team up together. BVSN Prasad will be producing this untitled movie and the genre is yet to be known. More details are awaited! So Pawan will be working with another Tamil director after SJ Surya and Vishnuvardhan.
 

Puri and Plagiarism

Hyderabad: Director Puri Jagannath has raised a dubious argument when he said that there is nothing wrong in lifting songs, scenes or to that matter a full picture itself.

A few hits might have made him popular, and the popularity must have gone into his head when he said, the camera we are using is not a Telugu one, the equipment we are using is not from the state so what happens if we pick one song from somewhere.

Good, films are judged on what appears before the audience and not the equipment. Plagiarism is absolutely acceptable must be the intention of Puri.

Fine, the point is whether or not he agrees, the argument that 'I have lifted songs and films earlier and will do the same in future', do not stand in good stead. For the simple reason that copycats cannot sustain for long.

His other view that people like only violence, mafia, guns and grenades will have no takers. Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan faced the music for handling guns in real life.

Youth are interested in love, romance and comedy. If Ram Gopal Varma had inspired him in a telephone conversation that Mumbai needs a don as violence has scaled down in the metropolis and that resulted in the making of Businessman, let it be so.

Mumbai has its share of violence and its own form of mafia even today, whatever be the conclusion of Puri and Varma. The gunning down of senior journalist JJ Dey is a recent example to call the bluff of Puri.

Films like Journey, Seventh Sense and the Dirty Picture too are doing well and Kotha Bangaru Lokam created a new trend while Bezawada was dumped without any mercy.

Puri's analysis that youth needs violence, guns and bullets is his opinion and a person who says that he can copy anything from anywhere need not be taken seriously.

Just to put the record straight, Puri can direct films of his choice. But it is not fair on his part to justify plagiarism and try to rub his expertise, violence, as the taste of youth.

Amala Paul 'fake' on Twitter

Amala Paul had her first big brush with controversy when the actress came to know that she was being impersonated by miscreants on the microblogging site Twitter.

The actress says, 'I always wanted to interact directly with my fans and was therefore interested in having an account on social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter. However, I never had the time to do so. Then, suddenly, several friends of mine asked me about a Twitter account that had appeared online.

'Initially, I did not react as impersonation on social networking sites has become common these days. But when Siddharth, my co-star in my Telugu film 'Love Failure', pointed out that the imposter was doing a question-answer sessions posing as me, I was furious. I decided enough was enough and swung into action.'

The actress started an account straightaway on Siddharth's insistence.

'I opened an account and Siddharth tweeted about it. He also tweeted about the imposter's account. Within a week, I have over 7,000 people following me on Twitter. I'm happy that I can interact with my fans directly now,' she ends.

Bodyguard Censor Report: U Certificate

Bodyguard censor report: Victory Venkatesh’s upcoming Telugu movie ‘Bodyguard’ was censored short while back and was awarded clean U Certificate. The censor board authorities gave the clean certificate to the movie without asking for any cuts, which is a really promising sign. So now all things are set for the grand release of Bodyguard movie on January 14.  This entertainer movie is directed by Gopichand Malineni and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh. Trisha and Saloni are playing the female leads.

 

Bollywood is Confusing Ileana

Goan beauty Ileana says that the way Bollywood looks at things is very difficult to understand. Ileana is currently for her Bollywood debut movie 'Barfee' starring Ranbhir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra.  “When I’m staying reserve and keeping mum with Ranbir Kapoor on the sets, it was gossiped that there’s something wrong between us. And when they saw us talking comfortably, its being buzzed that there’s something that’s cooking. So how do I take it?” asserts Ileana. The actress adjoins that she’s playing a big time role in the Allu Arjun starrer Telugu movie, directed by Trivikram Srinivas.

Catfight between Kats and Priyanka Over

Is the catfight between Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra over? Well, the new hit song of Katrina Kaif in the remake of ‘Agneepath’ has become a fever and now the item number got appreciation from an unexpected quarter. Guess who?? Its rival Priyanka Chopra! Apparently, Priyanka was seen discussing about the ‘Chikni Chameli’ item song with her co-stars. Eyewitnesses saw Piggy Chops praising the item song “Kat was looking gorgeous in the ‘Chikni Chameli’ song and no one else would have done justice to this song than Katrina”, Priyanka reportedly said. So is that the end of catfight? Hopefully!

Balakrishna is a Kid: Chiranjeevi

Mega star Chrianjeevi reacted on Namdamuri Balakrishna’s comments, which the latter made couple of days back. The two actors are now looking to compete politically after their filmy careers and this has become the hot topic in the state. Reacting to Balayya’s remarks, Chiranjeevi said Balakrishna, “Balakrishna is my good friend. He is like a kid and there’ll not be any meaning to what kids talk and so I’ll not answer such rubbish”, said Chiranjeevi. Recently, Balakrishna went to Ghantasala (Krishna dt) to unveil Sr. NTR’s statue. During his campaign, Balayya commented on Chiranjeevi’s Samajika  Nyayam and his failure to implement that policy.

Priyanka Chopra’s Health Concerns

it seems like all is not well with Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra as the sexy scarlet collapsed yet again in Mumbai. Priyanka is supposed to perform a stage show at the Mumbai Police annual celebration, Umang. However, Piggs Chops was looking weak and her blood pressure levels have also gone down as the actress was not coming out of her vanity van. Sensing this, cops literally asked her to skip the event.

 

This is not the first time Priyanka Chopra having tough time dealing with her medical issues. The actress fainted on the sets of Ashutosh Gowariker's What's Your Rashee?, in April 2009. Priyanka’s mom rushed to the sets of the film along with a doctor and it was reported that her immune system was erratic. Priyanka continued to shoot despite repeated requests from the doctors to pack up. A couple of days later, Priyanka complained of stomach ache and had no strength to shoot.  Undoubtedly, Priyanka is one of the busiest stars in the film industry. Given her hectic itinerary, it is understandable that the actress would be pretty busy. But with yesterday’s incident, her father and doctors seriously suggested the actress to take rest for some time and bring down her stress levels.

Businessman's cheating 'Business'!

Right from the day one, Businessman unit has been saying that this film would be released in three languages. Even the audio of this film was launched in Tamil and Malayalam on the same stage and it was dubbed as the first time ever in the history.

However, when the film is approaching the release day, Puri Jagannadh told that Businessman Tamil version will release after fifteen days of Telugu release due to lack of theatres in Tamilnadu. But the latest news is that Businessman's Tamilnadu distribution and remake rights were bought by Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green.

Gnanavel will be distributing Telugu version in Tamilnadu and if the film turns out to be a hit, he will remake it in Tamil with either Suriya or Karthi! So all the talk about Mahesh Babu's grand launch in Kollywood looks almost impossible at least for now. Fans have been dreaming that Businessman expands Mahesh's market in Tamilnadu, but as always the makers are not willing to do it for Mahesh. They are simply selling away the remake rights. So when will Mahesh break into Tamil market?
