Tamannah not in Mahesh’s new film!
Prince Mahesh Babu’s new film in the direction of Sukumar is going to be launched on February 12th at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad.Earlier there was a news that Milky beauty has been roped to play the female lead role opposite Mahesh Babu in this untitled film.But now the latest news is that she is not acting in this project because of her dates problems. This news informed by Tamannah’s father.
Now the makers are looking for a heroine to play the lead role beside Mahesh Babu in this film.As per the reports no one has been confirmed so far for the female lead role in the film and soon the makers are going to announce the details of the confirmed heroine in the film.
The film is said to be a soft romantic love entertainer and this film will be produced by 14 Reels Entertainment Banner, who has earlier produced the super hit film "Dookudu" with Mahesh Babu.
Abdominal Surgery for Amitabh Bachchan!
Bollywood Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who is suffering from stomach ailments from quite a long time, will undergo a minor surgery on February 11.He will undergo a CT Scan tomorrow and he will be taken for the surgery on Saturday.The 69-year-old actor said that surgery was "not too complicated".
"My stomach which has already been the bed of many complicated battles in the past, shall have to entertain this as well. Its a war zone , my body, and one which has been through a great deal and still does. A surgery that I shall be undergoing on the 11th morning and the surgery they say is not too complicated, but then all doctors say the same as you end up on the operating table, and before long the details and the subsequent anxieties begin to rise," Bachchan posted on his blog.
Big B, who is currently shooting a cameo in Bhojpuri film Gangadevi with wife Jaya, blames his late-night appearances behind the stomach problem.
"The doc who looks after me was furious at my late night appearances… but what does one do .. it is this time of the night or the day when there is freedom and solitude to assuage what I must convey or not. But I do understand his concern and shall abide by it…," he added.
Krishna Vamsi to direct NBK?
Now the latest buzz in the film nagar circles is that creative director Krishna Vamsi is going to direct a new film with Nandamuri Balakrishna. As per the sources this movie titled as CM (Common Man) and this project will goes on to sets on May 28th on the occasion of NBK’s father Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s birthday.
NBK-Krishnavamsi’s movie will be produced by YVS Chowdary under Bommarillu Vaari banner. Another buzz is that film makers are planning to rope the Bollywood actress Priyanka chopra for the female lead role opposite to Balakrishna in this film. More details will be out soon!
Meanwhile, NBK’s undershoot film "Adhinayakudu" is getting ready for release in March and another film titled "Kalki" was launched recently.
Shirdi Sai in Karnataka!
Nagarjuna’s forthcoming devotional film "Shirdi Sai" shooting is presently progressing in and around Badami in Karnataka.There the film unit is canning few important scenes and the shooting will goes there another 25 days.The movie shooting was started on February 2nd, 2012.
"Nagarjuna is involved in Sai Baba’s role", said by the film’s producer.Nagarjuna has also grown a beard for this role and he has changed his diet and lifestyle for this flick.
The movie is being directed by K.Raghavendra Rao and produced by A. Mahesh Reddy on Sai Krupa Entertainments banner while MM Keeravani is composing the music for this devotional flick.

Choreographer Tara files a case on Sundaram Master!
Most of the film lovers knows that south India's noted choreographers Sundaram Master (Prabhudeva's father) and Tara madam. The duo worked as choreographers for many south indian films.Now the shocking news is that Tara madam filed a case on Sundaram master for cheating her and she dragged him to court.
Tara madam said that "She was worked as an assistant to Sundaram master for many films in the period of 1964-1972. During that period we moved close together and I got married with Sundaram master in that time,around 38 years ago and we also lived together. Later one day he told me that he is going to his native place and will come back.In his native place, Sundaram Master got wedded to Prabhu Deva’s mother.He returned and sadly told me that his family members forced him to get married.After some time later I gave birth to a boy baby and he was with me for four months after my delivery.She said that later, Sundaram Master had left her permanently, by cheating her.She is also said that even in the birth certificate of my son, Sundaram’s name is mentioned as his father.
Now she wants the compensation and relief from the Sundaram master for cheating and making her mentally upset.She also said that our financial position is also in a very bad condition, so i request the Honorable Court to do the justice for her. She is demanding Rs 5-crore alimony and a monthly maintenance allowance of Rs 75,000. She also stated that Sundaram's present assets value is around Rs 100crores .

Widower Subbu aka Subramaniam (Prakash Raj) is middle-class government employee with two young children. Life is a struggle for him as he has to pay for their study. Not only is he a hard working father but also takes care of them like their mother would have. Elder son Karthik is interested in cricket than studies. Subbu wants him to excel in studies and achieve something in life. Contrary to Subbu’s dreams Karthik hopes to become a great cricketer like Dhoni, whom he idolizes. Karthik’s coach (Nassar) notices that this student will surely become an ace cricketer someday. Karthik has added pressure from the school principal who wants 100 per cent result. He even threatens Karthik that he would be thrown out of the school in case of failure. The film then takes a series of dramatic twists and turns.
Analysis
What’s more important curriculum or a child’s interest? Is excelling in all subjects the only mantra for students?
Prakash Raj's directorial venture, Dhoni, questions all these and more. It is a well-intended film that deals with this topical issue. Taking basic story from a Marathi film ' Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho' written by Mahesh Manjrekar, Prakash Raj along with his writers has weaved a beautiful script that attacks the current education system which burdens the child.
The film starts off with a scene in which Prakash Raj lands in a prison that creates interest. The first half of the movie focuses on the struggles of a middle class widower working on a meager government salary and the life of Nalini (played beautifully by Radhika Apte) who serves as a mistress to a goon and leads a happy perfect normal life in a middle-class colony. Second half of the movie delves more into the topical issue of education system.
While the first half of the movie has many engrossing moments, the movie loses tempo towards the climax with unconvincing scenes like Prakash Raj meeting a Chief Minister and having a lengthy preachy argument. On the whole, the film has meaningful moments with a subject that everyone can relate to. And the best part is Prakash Raj has not fallen into the commercial trappings.
Performance
Prakash Raj is brilliant actor and he proves it once again. He carries the film with his compassionate performance. He also has put on weight to look a like a middle-class widower. As a director he has shown his skills. Deft handling of scenes like Radhika Apte telling her story post the interval and pre-interval sequences make him a good director.
Akash as a kid obsessed with cricket comes up with engrossing performance. The other child Sree Teja is a neat performer. Radhika Apte speaks little but express through her eyes. Her role is etched out well and she does it perfectly. Brahmanandam, Gollapudi and Murali Sharma are excellent too. Prabhu Deva appears in a song that is told in a director's point of view.
Among the technicians, maestro Ilayaraja work stands out. His background score has elevated many poignant moments. Among his songs - Mattiloni Chettu and Gayam Tagili are the best.
Cinematographer Guhan's beautiful camera work doesn't make you feel that it is shot in limited locations. His work gels with the subject. Editor Kishore should have shortened the film especially the verbose scenes towards the climax.
Bottom-line
Dhoni is a poignant film about the parent and children, the flawed education system that exhausts the children by putting pressures than providing the exhaustive learning process. Despite some melodrama and pretty ordinary penultimate scenes, it is a good film sans 'commercial elements'.

After a brief dull phase last year, offers are raining on Kajal Agarwal again. She's the second busiest heroine in South India after Samantha. While Samantha is also paired up with upcoming young heroes, Kajal Agarwal is bagging only big movies and big heroes.
In Telugu, she is currently doing Ram Charan - V V Vinayak’s film that has begun it regular shoot on Feb 6th in Hyderabad.
Next she will be seen opposite NTR in a new film to be directed by Srinu Vaitla. From June, she will be romancing with Pawan Kalyan in the direction of Puri Jagannadh who just gave her a hit with Businessman . So, this year, she has only big movies in Tollywood.
In Tamil film industry too, she has paired up with the biggest stars only. She is currently doing Suriya's Maatran , being directed by K V Anand and Tupaki with Vijay in the direction of A.R.Murugadoss.
Puri announces Pawan Kalyan's film title

Puri has posted the logo of the title on his twitter account. On Friday morning, Puri posted that he would reveal the title of his movie with Puri Jagan by evening. And at 6 pm in the evening, he posted this logo, though he has not mentioned the hero's name this time.
Going by the title, it looks like the film is centers around media or the protagonist plays the role of an electronic media journalist.

Pawan Kalyan in Mani Ratnam's Kadali?
Is Pawan Kalyan acting in Mani Ratnam's movie? Yes, says the buzz. Recently, creative director Mani Ratnam has approached Power Star Pawan Kalyan and offered him a special role in his new movie Kadali, which marks the debut of actor Karthik's son Gautam Karthik. The movie is a bi-lingual in Telugu and Tamil (Kadal) languages and will be shot simultaneously. However, nothing has been confirmed yet and we have to wait for an official announcement. If this really happens, sky is the limit for expectations and the makers are rest assured of openings. Samantha is playing female lead while Aravind Swamy will be seen in a special role. AR Rahman is scoring the music. Earlier, Pawan Kalyan was approached by veteran director Singeetham Srinivasa Rao for a special role in 'Prince of Peace', which is based on the story of Jesus Christ.
Milky Beauty Keeps Milk Boy Waiting
Yes, we are referring to Milky beauty Tamanna and Milk boy Mahesh Babu! If the buzz has to be believed Tamanna has kept Mahesh Babu waiting for one and half month for his new movie under the direction of Sukumar. Initially, the pretty lass has principally agreed to feature in this movie but following her unavailability of call sheets she is playing the waiting game and yet to give her confirmation on the same. Reportedly, this has irked Mahesh Babu and he has suggested Sukumar for a replacement - but, the director keeping in view of the success of 100% Love movie is reluctant to the idea of dropping her and in turn requested Mahesh to wait for some time. Looks like, Mahesh has left with no option than to wait for few more days to work with the onscreen lady luck of Sukumar.  |
Heroine Worries for Mega Heroes
The selection of heroines is causing severe threat to the box-office run for mega movies and in fact denting the image of mega heroes these days. One man who is facing the ire of the fans is Pawan Kalyan! If we go by the record, the choice of Nikeesha Patel as heroine for Komarum Puli is a setback and similarly, casting Anjali Lavania and Sarah Jane Dias in Panjaa has made the things even worse for Pawan Kalyan. The next comes Ram Charan, his choice of casting Genelia for Orange is nothing less than a disaster. This has misfired drastically and even killed the film's run at box-office. The makers received huge criticism from fans and all sections of media for casting Genelia as the heroine in Orange. Allu Arjun who is very choosy in selecting his heroines failed miserably in the case of Bhanu Mehra, the leading lady of Varudu. She was no match to Stylish Star and the suspense drama as part of film's promotion only made it a damp squib.
It seems the trio has realized now and have already started the damage control with their future releases. Pawan Kalyan has taken utmost care and chosen Shruti Hassan as female lead in his upcoming film Gabbar Singh while Ram Charan has zeroed on Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal as his heroines for the next two films. Allu Arjun has made it clear that he is very selective from now by roping in Ileana as his leading lady in his new movie directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Let's hope these combinations live up to the expectations at box-office and brings smile on the faces of disgruntled mega fans.
Rajinikanth as Khadga Rudra
Super Star Rajinikanth's new movie Kochadaiyaan is set to release in Telugu as Khadga Rudra. The regular shooting of the movie will commence from February 15 in Chennai. Filmnagar sources say that RR Movie Makers are planning to acquire the dubbing rights of Kochadaiyaan for entire AP. Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth is donning the director's cap for this movie which is being made in 3D format. Deepika Padukone is romancing Rajini, while Rukmini of 'Aananda Thaandavam' fame is playing Rajini's sister. The first look posters released recently have generated huge hype and lot of buzz among public. AR Rahman wields the baton of music for Khadga Rudra, which is expected to hit the marquee in August.
Kajal Rejects YRF Bollywood Offer
South Indian actress Kajal Agarwal has turned down an offer from Bollywood’s top production house Yash Raj Films (YRF). Sources say that YRF has approached Kajal to play the leading lady besides Shahid Kapoor in their film but Kajal discarded the Bollywood movie citing dates problem. Kajal made her Bollywod debut with Singam movie and she even posed topless for a magazine but still Kajal feels that she did not get the required recognition. Back in south, after her Businessman super hit, Kajal has bagged two big ticket films in Tamil – one in Suriya starrer ‘Maatran’ and another one in Vijay - Murugadoss ‘Thuppaki’. It was also reported that Kajal is being considered for Pawan Kalyan and Puri Jagannath combo movie. With so many offers in South, no wonder Kajal shed her Bollywood dreams for now.

Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Mega Power Star Ram Charan were spotted at a private party recently. They looked uber cool and spent some quality time with their relatives at the event. This is for the first time that both Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan were spotted together after the latter's engagement ceremony. Currently, Pawan Kalyan is busy shooting for his upcoming film 'Gabbar Singh' and on the other side, Ram Charan's forthcoming film Rachcha is in the final leg of its shoot. Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Puri Jagannadh's new movie title will be announced today evening as confirmed by the director on his micro blogging account. The story for the first half of the movie is also completed, he adds. “Just now, completed writing d first half of PawanKalyan's story. Will announce d title at 6 o clock this evening.”, tweeted Puri Jagan. The movie will go onto the sets in May and the makers are planning to wrap it up in an uninterrupted single schedule. DVV Danayya is the producer and Kajal Aggarwal is the heroine. Earlier, Puri Jagan made his debut as director with Pawan Kalyan's super hit movie 'Badri' in 2000.
Hero Nani New Movie with Srivass
Hero Nani who is proving his mettle with versatile films has agreed to work with Srivas, the director of 'Lakhsyam' and 'Rama Rama Krishna Krishna' films. The movie yet to be titled is touted to be an out and out commercial film where Nani plays a full length action role. A popular producer is set to produce this movie and a leading actress is likely to romance Nani however, an official announcement on the project will be out shortly. Currently, the movie is in pre- production stages and will go onto the sets soon. Nani's last release 'Pilla Zamindar' failed to live up to the expectations despite winning critical acclaims.
