Prakash Raj's 'Dhoni' audio launched

Prakash Raj's director venture Dhoni had its music launch in Hyderabad. The audio release function was held at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad on Feb 03, 2011. Music maestro Ilayaraja graced the audio launch ceremony as he has composed the music. 

Seetarama Sastry, who penned the lyrics for this film, Trivikram Srinivas, Dil Raju, Guhan, Master Akash, Baby Sri, Gemini Kiran, Gunnam Gangaraju and others graced music launch ceremony. 

The first audio CD was unveiled Ilayaraja and Sirivennela Seetarama Shashtri received from him. 

I like Nitin, says Pawan Kalyan

Pawan Kalyan unveiled the audio of Ishq , the latest film starring Nitin and Nitya Menon, on Multi Dimension Entertainment banner. 

Vikram K. Kumar is the director. At an impressive function at Film Nagar, Hyderabad, Pawan Kalyan released the album and presented the first number to director Karunakaran, who in turn released publicity posters and trailers of the movie.

Dil Raju, Ganesh, Srikar Prasad, Sireesh, Vasu, Anup Rubens, P.C.Sriram and others took part in the event.

Pawan Kalyan said: "I normally don't attend other movie functions but this is an exception because I like Nitin very much. Also P.C.Sriram is my favourite cameraman and I admire him as a person."

Dil Raju said: "Nitin is a great fan of Pawan Kalyan. Nitin's father (Sudhakar Reddy) and myself distributed Pawan Kalyan's film Tholi Prema in Nizam area. Nitin turned a hero after watching that film. I could give Dil film to Nitin. I wish Ishq will get him back into form."

Nitin said: "After completing Inter, I thought of going to the US with a B.Tech. That time Tholi Premawas released. I watched the film innumerable times. As I started repeating each and every dialogue in the film, my parents used to chide me. Later, Karunakaran encouraged me a lot, saying that he would do a film with me. I am thankful to Pawan Kalyan and Karunakaran who changed my life. We are getting superb response to the 'Lachhamma' song." 

Lawrence as M.D for Prabhas's Rebel

Hotshot music director S S Taman has walked out from Raghavendra Lawrence's big budgeted film with Prabhas. Taman who scored music for Lawrence's recent hit, Kanchana, gave way for Lawrence taking over the job of music direction. Now the director would be scoring music for the film.

It is said that both Taman and Lawrence could not sort out their 'creative differences', so Taman walked out of the project.

Earlier Lawrence composed music for his movie Don starring Nagarjuna.

Nagarjuna Shirdi Sai Rolls On

The shooting of King Nagarjuna's new movie Shirdi Sai started on February 2 in Badami. This schedule continues till February 20 and the shooting will resume again on March 1 for 20 days in the same location. K Raghavendra Rao is directing the movie on Sai Krupa Entertainments banner. Music director MM Keeravani has already completed recording of 9 songs for Shiridi Sai. Paruchuri Brothers are penning the dialogues, while Bhakta Suresh is providing the story. S Gopal Reddy handles the camera.

Katrina Kaif Besides Prabhas New Movie

The fresh buzz to hit the film nagar circles is Shankar’s trilingual film starring Prabhas for the Telugu version. Sources close to the director say that Shankar is planning to cast Katrina Kaif besides Prabhas in Telugu, in fact, for all three versions. Albeit not widely publicised in AP, director Shankar has plans to make a Telugu-Tamil-Malayalam tri-lingual with Prabhas, Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal it seems. And as expected, AR Rahman would score the music for this film, which might be produced by Oscar Ravichandran.

Prabhas in Director Shankar's New Movie

Sensational director Shankar is planning to make a Telugu-Tamil-Malayalam trilingual soon and the Telugu version of the film will feature Young Rebel Star Prabhas as hero. Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif will play the female lead in all the three languages, says the buzz. Kamal Hassan and Mohan Lal are going to play the male leads in Tamil and Malayalam versions. Aascar Ravichandran is set to produce the movie on Aascar Films banner and AR Rahman will provide the soundtrack. If this rolls out, it is going to be the biggest film in Prabhas's career.

Young Tiger Jr. NTR’s Triple Dhamaka

Young tiger Jr. NTR is on a signing spree! The star actor is completely busy signing movies as NTR has three movies lined up for this year (2012). First up is ‘Dammu’, directed by Boyapati Sreenu and the movie is gearing for release in April.  His next movie is with Srinu Vaitla for which the script work is currently going on. The title of the movie is being buzzed as ‘Action’ ‘with Entertainment’ as the caption while others are gossiping the title as ‘Baadshah’. Next in the pipeline is Puri Jagannath’s action entertainer which starts shooting in August, as confirmed by the director.  With several movies on the cards, it’ll be interesting to see how many releases NTR will have this year.

The shooting of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's new movie Daruvu is progressing at rapid pace in Hyderabad. The story of the film is set under the backdrop of Yamalokam and Prabhu is essaying the role of Yamadharma Raja. For the first time, Ravi Teja is donning five get-ups in this movie which is shaping up well under the direction of  Souryam Siva. Produced by Burugapalli Sivaramakrishna, Daruvu is touted to be a socio fantasy film and hasTapsee as female lead. Daruvu is coming up with a tag line 'Sound of Mass'. Recently, the unit has shot vital scenes of the film in a specially erected pub set in RFC for couple of days.

Costliest Set for Autonagar Surya Movie

A costly automobile company set worth 2 crores has been erected with at Nanakramguda for Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming action entertainer Autonagar Surya. The producers of the movie – RR Movie Makers are spending a bomb and are shelling out huge sums for movies starring top heroes and this is yet another classic example of that. According to producers K Atchi Reddy and RR Venkat, this set for Autonagar Surya is the costliest set ever in Telugu cinema history.

 

Autonagar Surya movie has Samantha playing the female lead while Sarathkumar's daughter Varalakshmi is making her Tollywood debut in this movie. Autonagar Surya is tipped to be in the backdrop of powerful labour unions in Vijayawada. The movie is being directed by Deva Katta. Anup Rubens is churning out the musical compositions. The film planned for release in late summer.

Thaman out of Prabhas Rebel Movie

Music director SS Thaman has finally made an official announcement that he’s exiting from Prabhas’ starrer Rebel movie. The music director has decided to choose his micro blogging site Twitter to make this announcement. “My best wishes to music director Raghava Lawrence Gaaru :) for REBEL I wish the entire te@m good luck :) And I thank Lawrence master for giving me KANCHANA which was a very big hit in both the languages:) but I am officially out of REBEL :), Tweeted Thaman. Rebel movie director Raghava Lawrence would be now composing music for this film – for the second time in his career after 'Don' starring Nagarjuna. Sources say that contrasting perceptions between Raghava Larence and Thaman has led to the latter’s exit from the project. Rebel has been suffering from several rebellious issues ever since the movie hit the floors. Previously, Anushka backed out from the film and now its music director SS Thaman’s turn.

Kerala Forest Officials Stop Raccha

Mega power star Ram Charan Teja’s Raccha movie has been halted in its tracks at the Periyar Tiger Reserve (PTR) on Friday when a forest official tried to hammer home this point. Director Sampath Nandi planned to shoot a romantic song composed by Mani Sharma as the couple drifted on the mist-shrouded Periyar Lake.

Apparently, Ram Charan in his casuals while Tamanna sporting a skimpy top and skirt and both were ready for the shot. In came the deputy director of the reserve Sanjay Kumar who insisted that the actors wear life jackets as they were venturing out in a boat! “I can’t allow anyone to go boating without a life jacket,” Sanjay Kumar said. Sources say the director was astounded at the order, and when no amount of pleading worked, he called off the shoot.

A source close to Ram Charan Teja who was present at the location said that the matter was ‘blown out of proportion since we had permission to shoot’. He said the shoot on the Periyar Lake did take place, but ‘the two stars wore life jackets as insisted by officials. It will not be seen on screen as we managed with long shots and the rest of the song with the regular film costumes’. The entry of the film unit — 20 vehicles, 100 members — was itself against the rules. The deputy director wanted most of it out of the protected zone. The shoot was then limited to a small portion of a song, but not without the life jacket complication.

My Difficult Phase is Over: Nayanathara

Malayalam beauty Nayanathara says that her most difficult phase in the life has been over. Referring to her break up with beau Prabhu Deva, Nayanatara said she has put all issues behind and was missing silver screen during this period. “I’d been going through a difficult phase. But now, I am all set for a comeback," says Nayanthara, who is all poised for a return to the big screen. Nayanthara will be playing the female lead besides Nagarjuna in her come back Telugu movie under Kamakshi Movies banner. The movie is a romantic entertainer and will be shot in USA and Hyderabad. Further, Nayanthara is also busy holding talks with several Southern filmmakers post her announcement of return to silver screen.

Jr. NTR as James Bond in Puri Film

Young tiger Jr. NTR will be soon seen in a James Bond character in Puri Jagannath’s film. Apparently, director Puri Jagannath hinted that Jr. NTR’s characterization would be on the lines of James Bond and he’s planning to shoot the entire movie in USA. He further said that he’s all game to make up for ‘Andhrawala’ disaster. “I will definitely compensate for that film with this one”, promised Puri. Producer Bandla Ganesh has already started making arrangements for this crazy combo. NTR is currently busy working for Dammu under Boyapati Seenu direction.

No Bhatti Vikramarka Remake: Sai Baba

Reacting to a certain section of media speculation about Yalamanchali Sai Baba remaking ‘Bhatti Vikramarka’ starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, the producer clarified that he's not making any mythological movie with Balayya and 'Bhatti Vikramarka' is a just speculation. “I’m not making any mystic movie with Balayya. I don’t know where these rumours have come from but I shall let you know if I finalize anything”, elucidates Yalamanchali Sai Baba. Speaking about Sri Rama Rajyam success, Sai Baba said that he’s feeling proud to be associated with such a great project. “I’m very pleased to be part of such a prestigious film and I’m thankful to the entire Sri Rama Rajyam unit for making it a success”, adjoins Sai Baba.

Naga Chaitanya under Veeru Potla

Tollywood circles are abuzz that Naga Chaitanya would be working under the direction Veeru Potla. Naga Chaitanya, who is currently shooting for ‘Autonagar Surya’, and ‘Gauravam’, would be soon working with Veeru Potla for an action drama. Veeru Potla already has a good track record as he earlier directed Nagarjuna for ‘Ragada’ and Manchu Manoj in ‘Bindaas’. It was also reported that Naga Chaitanya and Veeru Potla’s combo would be produced by D. Shiva Prasad Reddy under Kamakshi Kala Movies and the shoot might start in 2012.
