Giribabu conferred with a doctorate

An American University conferred doctorate to senior actor Giribabu. Speaking to reporters Giribabu said that he received an honorary doctorate from AIM Westbrook University, West Veriginia, USA for his contribution to cinema field and for his social work. 

Born in a village Ravinuthala in Prakasham district, Giribabu started his film career in1973 and acted in about 550 films in various characters. He also produced films on his banner Jayabheri Art Pictures. 

His son Raghu Babu is now leading character artiste cum comedian in Telugu films.

"I have been working for the development of my village in Prakasha district and also donated 1.25 acres of land for TTD Kalyana Mandapam and in 2008 I built a cricket play ground there. And many other development works are being done at my village," Giribabu said.
