‘Shiva’, the 25 year old game changer of Telugu cinema became a sudden buzz everywhere. Yesterday, majority of Siva’s cast and crew including director Ram Gopal Varma, hero Nagarjuna, heroine Amala and others have held a special media meet to celebrate the event.

Till that moment, there were no plans to re-release this iconic movie. In a bid to restore the age-old film output of ‘Shiva’, Annapurna Studios has spent a bomb to digitally scan and restore the movie. The whole of post-production process for this 1989 release happened in Mumbai and right now a high-res print is ready.

Nagarjuna has now decided to re-release this flick in select theatres across the world, once he finds a suitable date and availability of screens. Probably Siva might bag a record for re-release, as audiences are quite keen to watch it again on silver screen. Get ready for the soon-to-come feast folks.
