Ram Charan’s strong reply to Critics

It has become a custom for Ram Charan’s films to get bad reviews on the first day and do tremendously well at the Box Office. Charan’s latest film Govindudu Andarivadele is not an exception. This film got mixed reviews on its first day and few sections of media tried very hard to kill the movie in many ways. However, GAV gave a strong reply to all the critics and shut all the wagging tongues with a wonderful show at the box office.

Govindudu Andarivadele collected over 35 crore rupees share (global) in its first week. It has surpassed Race Gurram’s first week’s tally to reach the top three list of all time best opening week collections. Attarintiki Daredi is still sitting on top of this list and Charan’s Yevadu holds second place. Govindudu Andarivadele is a very slow paced family film without much comedy and mass friendly elements. A film of this genre to get such big numbers is not a joke.
Although GAV got benefitted by the Holiday period, it has done exceptionally well for its genre. It is still doing steady business at the box office and is sure to make it to the forty crore club by the end of this week. GAV’s numbers could have been better had the reviews been in favor of the movie. Bad reviews have affected its prospects especially in US. That said, GAV has done well in US despite bad reviews. It has collected better than previous hits of Ram Charan in this region.

Vacation Time For Mahesh Babu

Superstar Mahesh Babu took a break from his busy schedule to spend some quality time with his family. Reports say that the Superstar left for Bangkok along with his family and they will also visit Malaysia. Our sources say that Mahesh will be back to India in the third week of October and he will join the sets of his new film with Koratala Siva on October 19, 2014.

Principal shooting will begin from October 9th and as per his sentiment, Mahesh will join the sets on October 19th. Shruti Haasan is the leading lady opposite to Mahesh and Devi Sri Prasad is the music director. Speculations were made around the web that titles like Kannayya and Magaadu were under consideration but Koratala Siva has confirmed that their team didn’t thought of any title as of now.

Mahesh Babu had two releases in 2014 (Nenokkadine, Aagadu) and both the film failed at the box-office. This untitled film is produced under Mythri Movie Makers banner by Yerneni Naveen, Yalamanchali Ravishankar and CV Mohan.

Nagarjuna Changed His Mind

‘Shiva’, the 25 year old game changer of Telugu cinema became a sudden buzz everywhere. Yesterday, majority of Siva’s cast and crew including director Ram Gopal Varma, hero Nagarjuna, heroine Amala and others have held a special media meet to celebrate the event.

Till that moment, there were no plans to re-release this iconic movie. In a bid to restore the age-old film output of ‘Shiva’, Annapurna Studios has spent a bomb to digitally scan and restore the movie. The whole of post-production process for this 1989 release happened in Mumbai and right now a high-res print is ready.

Nagarjuna has now decided to re-release this flick in select theatres across the world, once he finds a suitable date and availability of screens. Probably Siva might bag a record for re-release, as audiences are quite keen to watch it again on silver screen. Get ready for the soon-to-come feast folks.
